Questions and answers

Straight answers to the questions practices ask us most. If yours isn’t here, send it to us and we’ll reply by email within two working days.

Getting started

Do we need to have a call or a meeting?

No. Everything can be done by email, at a time that suits you. If you’d prefer to talk something through, just ask and we’ll arrange it.

We email your report within two working days. If you’d like to discuss it, reply to the email. If not, that’s the end of it.

No. We won’t phone you, we won’t send follow-up emails you didn’t ask for, and we don’t run a mailing list.

Yes. Specialising means we understand your patients, your regulators and your pressures, and every improvement we make to our templates benefits every practice we look after.

Usually within 10 working days of us receiving your content.

A logo, any photographs you’d like to use, an up-to-date list of your team and a careful look at the draft. We do the rest.

Cost and contracts

How much does it cost?

Our prices are fixed and published, excluding VAT:

  • GP surgeries: £235 a year, no set-up fee
  • Dental practices: £150 a month, plus £995 set-up
  • Private consultants: £89 a month, plus £295 set-up
  • Physio, osteopathy, chiropractic and podiatry clinics: £69 a month, plus £295 set-up.

No. Hosting, security, backups, monitoring, routine changes and your monthly report are all included. If you ask for something larger than your monthly allowance covers, we’ll quote by email before starting.

Our GP template is built once and shared by every surgery, so the development and testing cost is spread across all of them. We pass that saving on rather than keep it as profit.

Monthly plans have a 12-month minimum term, then continue month to month with 60 days’ notice. GP plans run for a year at a time; just tell us at least 60 days before your renewal date if you don’t want to renew.

Yes. Paying annually saves you about a month’s fees on monthly plans. GP surgeries can also pay for three years in advance for £635.

We send a VAT invoice for every payment. You can pay by Bank Transfer, Direct Debit, or Credit Card.

Your website

Who owns the website?

You own your domain name and all of your content: text, photographs and logos. Our templates remain ours, which is how we keep them tested and up to date for everyone.

No. It’s designed in your colours, typography, logo and photography. What practices share is the tested structure underneath.

You can if you’d like to, and GP surgeries can post urgent notices themselves at any time. Most clients simply email us their changes.

We take great care to protect it. We move your content, keep page addresses where we can and redirect the rest so patients and Google can still find you.

Yes. We set up your Google Business Profile correctly and structure your website so Google, and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, can read it clearly. That makes you easier to find and recommend.

No, and we’d be wary of anyone who does. We give you every advantage and report the results honestly each month.

Yes. We can set up and manage Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 email on your own domain for £12 per mailbox per month, excluding VAT.

Yes. Our templates are built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA, and we keep your accessibility statement up to date.

Privacy and security

Where is our website hosted?

On servers in the UK, protected by Cloudflare.

Our forms never ask for clinical information, and we remind patients not to include it. We use cookieless analytics, so individual patients aren’t tracked.

Yes, as standard, before any work begins.

Yes.

Not with our standard set-up, because we don’t use tracking cookies. If you later add something that needs consent, we’ll tell you first.

Cloudflare blocks most attacks before they reach your website. We monitor every website around the clock, keep off-site backups and can restore your website quickly if needed. We’ll always tell you if something has affected your website.

Support and changes

How do we ask for changes?

By email. We reply within two working days, and most routine changes are made well within that.

Email gives both of us a written record of every request, so nothing is misheard or forgotten. And because we monitor every website around the clock, we usually spot a technical problem before you do.

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of changes made by us: 30 minutes for GP surgeries, one hour for consultants and clinics, and two hours for dental practices. That comfortably covers routine updates. Anything larger, we quote first.

We work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays. Monitoring and security run around the clock.

If you decide to leave

What if we want to leave?

Give us notice by email under your plan’s terms. We’ll transfer your domain name to you or your new provider and give you a full copy of your content. There are no exit fees, and we’ll be as helpful on the way out as on the way in.

See how your website measures up

Send us your website address and we’ll email you a short, plain-English report: how it performs on a phone, how accessible and secure it is, and how easily patients and Google can find what matters. It’s free, there’s no obligation, and nobody will phone you.
